Sarah is a Vice President in the Center for Care Transformation at AVIA. She advises clients on a range of topics including connected care at home, chronic condition management, remote monitoring, perinatal care, and health equity. Sarah has over 10 years of experience developing, testing, and scaling digital health solutions in provider and payer markets, and previously worked in the nonprofit and government sectors leading national and state public health campaigns to address the social drivers of health and improve maternal and child health.
Prior to her role at AVIA, Sarah led Medicaid product development at UnitedHealthcare, where she co-developed Baby Blocks, an award-winning digital engagement solution for pregnant and new parents, delivering quality improvements and reducing risk of NICU stays. She also founded UnitedHealthcare’s social impact incubator, funding projects throughout the US to improve housing conditions, integrated behavioral health, food security, birth outcomes, and more.
Sarah holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health from University of California at Berkeley and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. She has served on numerous boards and committees including ACOG’s Women’s Digital Health Alliance and the American Heart Association, and contributed to several publications including Remote Monitoring in the Safety Net: What Payers and Providers Need to Know.
